02MARINE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS

Not a single component — we assess the whole hydraulic system, from the unit where power is generated to the actuator where motion happens.

We work on the marine hydraulic infrastructure that powers passerelles, moving platforms, hatches, windlass systems and other auxiliary machinery. Hydraulic steering is handled as a separate specialist area.

01Which problems do we solve?

  • Is the system losing power?
  • Are cylinder movements slow or erratic?
  • Is the pump unusually noisy?
  • Is the hydraulic oil overheating?
  • Is pressure dropping or the system leaking?

We find the root cause by measuring — and apply a system-based fix instead of replacing parts unnecessarily.

Power unit range

  • 12 V / 24 V DC electric-motor power units
  • 230 / 400 V AC electric-motor power units

From compact DC units on yachts to larger AC hydraulic systems.

03How does the system work?

A hydraulic system is not just “pump + hose”.

  1. 01Oil tank
  2. 02Filter
  3. 03Hydraulic pump
  4. 04Valve / manifold
  5. 05Cylinder or hydraulic motor
  6. 06Return line
  7. 07Filter → tank

Without assessing pressure, flow, oil condition and filtration together, there is no lasting fix.

04Our service approach

“We don’t just check the pressure — we check the whole system.”

We assess the entire system, from power unit to valve block and from hydraulic line to cylinder and motor. By measuring pressure, flow and functions we identify which parts to repair, revise or replace; then we prepare the circuit with oil, filters and bleeding, test it and put it back into service.

05Service process

From survey
to service report.

Our goal is not just to get a system running again, but to hand it over correct and serviceable.

  1. 01

    System check

Power unit, pump, motor, tank, valves, cylinders, lines and connections are inspected.

  2. 02

    Fault diagnosis

The source of pressure loss, poor performance, overheating, leaks, noise, vibration or motion problems is identified.

  3. 03

    Measurement & plan

Pressure, flow and functions are evaluated to decide what to repair, revise or replace.

  4. 04

    Maintenance / revision

Work is carried out on pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, hoses, pipes and connections.

  5. 05

    Oil & circuit preparation

Filters are checked, oil and filters changed where needed and the system is bled.

  6. 06

    Pressure & function test

Working pressure, motion, leaks and functions are checked and the system is commissioned.

08Frequently asked questions

Good
questions.

Can’t find your answer? Just tell us the system and the marina.

Ask a question
Why does a hydraulic system overheat?

Low oil level, clogged filters, a wrongly set relief valve, internal leakage in a pump or valve and continuous by-pass operation are the main causes — identified by measurement, not guesswork.

How often should hydraulic oil be changed?

The manufacturer’s maintenance plan, running hours and oil condition decide. Colour, smell, water and particles are evaluated together with the filters.

Do you only replace hoses?

We renew hoses, pipes and fittings — but if the fault lies in another component, we find that first.

Do you work on DC and AC power units?

Yes, on 12/24 V DC and 230/400 V AC electric-motor power units. On the control and electrical side we coordinate with Nice Marin Elektrik when needed.
